Heartstrings
I felt that it was important to have this Gate because although you have read the intense
experiences of communion, building altars, and many others, I don’t want you to lose the essence of
our triune God. This is such a simple incident yet; it tugged on my heartstrings and illustrates the
only thing that really matters – our real relationship with our Savior.

My family knows that one of my regular prayer lines is “Lord tie our heartstrings closer to one
another and you”. On my birthday, I was standing under my Macadamia nut tree when I saw him!
Behind his back, he had four balloons. Like silly teenagers, we were messing around with the
balloons, only this time gravity was not an issue. We soon overtook the balloons in the sky, dancing
and twirling around them and between them. Before we knew it, we had all four balloons between
our torsos. The balloons didn’t pop but instead formed a heart between us as one heart that
transposed into both of us with all four strings knitting us together. Guess he had heard my prayers.
Today, consider your words, especially those you used when speaking to him. He truly hears every
little one and weaves them together in a reality that we cannot even begin to conceptualize. He is
listening, all you must do is speak.
“My heartstrings throb like harp strings for Moab,”...
Isaiah 16:11-14
