spiritual gifts
This section is not focused entirely on an experience of spiritual gifts but more on the pitfalls I have
faced and the encouragement to keep going. It should be stated from the onset that when I first
started seeing in the spirit, I was looking for others that were weathering the same giftings.
Unfortunately, more than two decades ago, things were not as out in the open as they are now. In
trying to tell everyone about this literal GIFT, I found myself enmeshed where most seekers find
themselves. In the enemy’s camp.

I say the enemy’s camp because I was taken in by a “sister” in Christ. She pulled me close and
then told me I was operating in the demonic. This was heart-wrenching for me. I spent at least
another few years crying out to the Lord every time I had a vision, analyzing what Gate I had left
open for demonic activity. By the time I hit my 40s, I was done with the people pleasing and came
out hard for Jeshua despite the fact that I was destined to be solo.

In all the years of operating in this gift and the copious amounts of strangers I have ministered
to, I have only been rejected twice. The funny thing is that new agers, Muslims, and other religions
have not rejected the word of the Lord, but the two rejections came from Christians. What is the
take-home here? DO NOT doubt yourself. If you have a word of encouragement and love, that is
obviously the Lord. Anything negative, I would caution you to take to the Lord and not move until He
tells you. Often, the negatives are related to our own shortcomings, not the person we thought we
had to reprove (James Goll’s book, The Discerner, is highly recommended on this topic). However, a
love message painted with scripture can only be the beginning of your spiritual gift.
